Sam Boardman has had a splendid winter. He got married; he biked the circumference of Maui; and he participated in his best friend’s wedding in Florida.

Boardman, 25, grew up in Washington, D.C., and currently rides for L39ION of Los Angeles, a continental-level professional cycling team (pronounced “legion”), which only races in the United States.
